Deep Funk

it was in the late seventies/early eighties when I used my cassete-tapedeck and lp’s and 12″ to make mixes for listening pleasure during cartrips. Most of them got lost but I’ve found this funky mix, 25 minutes of deep funk, back on an old hard disk. Unfortunately no playlist but among others some music of Parliament, James Brown, James Blood Ulmer, Ronald Reagan and others… Hit Me ! (click on the picture to start the music)

Each and every friday afternoon I listen to the AVRO live radiobroadcast of “Vrijdagmiddag Live”. They’ve got good live music and satire… This day (8/11/2013) the musical guest were the VOF De Kunst band from Tilburg. The last years they performed with success songs for children (and their parents) and before that they had a smash hit with “Kopje koffie” but now they have released a new album and i’ve chosen two songs I really like: “Hoop” and “Lievevrouwenplein”
